We are looking for an experienced Yard hand who are able to work in the day shift between the hours of 7:30am - 4pm (flexibility is required to work outside these hours when needed)
This is a Mon - Fri role with occasional Saturday and OT will be provided if applicable.
About The Role
- Sort through green waste FOGO
- Working through sort cabins and picking waste and contaminated materials
- General labouring duties outside at the yard
- Always adhere to health & safety procedures and policies at all times and report any near misses and fault findings
- Excellent initiative, punctuality, and reliability to work
- A keen eye for detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team and on your own
- Previous relevant experience in the Manufacturing, Warehousing or Waste Management industry or equivalent
- Previous experience being an all-rounder doing general labouring duties
- MUST be comfortable working with waste materials and the smell of waste
- Previous experience as a front end loader would be highly desirable but not mandatory
- Yellow card, VOC certifications or Front end loader ticket would be highly desirable but not mandatory
- Skilled and safe use of relevant plant and equipment required to effectively and efficiently to complete required tasks
- Undertakes other duties as directed
- Works with minimal supervision
