The role involves conducting Broad Area Habitat Searches in advance of harvest operations to ensure compliance with Coastal IFOA obligations and support timber production. Also supervising stumpage operations to ensure the harvest and haulage crews meet value recovery targets, adhere to safety and environmental standards, and minimize operational risk.
We Would Love You To Have
- The ability to plan and prioritise work, meet standards and deadlines.
- Understanding and commitment to safety within an operational environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in forestry operations such as, field surveys and harvesting supervision.
- Proven ability in the use of tablets/iPads, preferably with mapping programs.
- The capacity and willingness to undertake fire management duties, including firefighting and extensive travel (mainly driving), whilst working extended hours.
