Your Key Accountabilities

The core capability requirements for this role are:

  • Analyse and resolve system issues within a complex ICT environment.
  • Provide high level advice in relation to monitoring, fault diagnosis and system failures and initiating remedial action for Oracle and SQL Server environments.
  • Identify, assess, and brief staff and management on new and emerging software and communication technologies, products, methods, techniques, and services driving delivery improvements and services to senior level customers and project teams through change management initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess information technology advances in order to give quality advice and assistance to clients.
  • Estimate, plan and set objectives of local work programs.
  • Plan and manage implementation of processes and procedures, tools, and techniques for designing, monitoring, and managing and reporting on the performance of ICT systems and services.


Role Requirements

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience:

Highly Desirable

  • Microsoft SQL 2005/2008/2012 and/or Oracle 10G, 11G
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Monitoring/Alerting (SCOM 2012)
  • Performance Collection/Analysis (MS PerfMon)
  • Windows PowerShell
  • TSQL and ETL
  • Query Optimisation
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)


Desirable Skills/requirements

  • Operating Systems (MS Windows Server, RedHat Linux)
  • Incident / Change Management (InfraEnterprise)
  • Azure/AWS
  • Chef/Puppet
  • Oracle 12C
  • Microsoft SQL 2014
  • Database Design and Modelling
  • Windows Powershell
