We are looking for a talented lawyer to join our legal team based in Sydney, Australia to support our rapidly growing and evolving business.



Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities will include negotiating strategic contracts, advising on new and mature technology-driven offerings, counselling business teams on a wide range of matters, and working with other members of the legal department locally and internationally to ensure that relevant legal and regulatory requirements and risks are understood and managed.

Principal duties include providing ongoing legal advice on a wide range of legal areas including in relation to competition & consumer law and other regulatory requirements.


A day in the life
You must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged. The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, is also essential.

You will be expected to work independently while also contributing successfully to cross-functional teams. You will work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing, and will need to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of legal experience
- Law degree and admission to relevant bar association
- Experience in private practice or in house experience
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, oral)- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
