Here at WiseTech Global, we are looking for a User Interface Designer to join our ever-growing Design team (30+ Designers) in Sydney. This role is critical to WiseTech Global’s significant, ongoing investment in the Design craft across all facets of our business.This is a unique opportunity to join an established, dedicated, cross-functional Design System team. As a UI Designer with experience in desktop and mobile design, you will be working on evolving our WiseTech Design System called Supply. You will design specialised expert interfaces for our industry-leading product, CargoWise, ensuring a cohesive look and feel while unlocking vast sets of information for our hundreds of thousands of professional users.
You will be working together with our embedded User Experience Designers. You will help them overcome interface-related challenges to realise their conceptual models, while aligning those solutions with the Design System, and integrating them to be used by others.
You will need to embrace the unique challenges of enterprise-scale software design for an expert audience, while using contemporary user interface solutions in pursuit of the best possible user experience.
Here are a few points to help you assess whether you’re a good fit for this opportunity:
- 3+ years in digital user interface design in product organizations, agencies or enterprise environments
- Expert-level skills in Figma - you’re comfortable in coaching other designers in Figma best practices, and how to use our design system components correctly
- Strong understanding of current industry trends in UI design
- Experienced collaborator with other Designers - most of your work will be done together with other Designers, so this has to be your preferred way of working
- Active involvement in design system efforts in previous roles
- Fundamental understanding of current front-end technologies and concepts such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Good writing skills to describe and explain parts of our Design System
