This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent and Fixed Term Full Time appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

We have one Full Time 12 month contract available for immediate filling, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Other appointments will be made from the pool as they arise.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant’s integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/06/2026.

Position Profile: The Principal Project Officer plays a lead role in the development, coordination, management and delivery of projects aimed at improving the WA health system. To excel in this role you will have excellent critical thinking skills and experience with complex service design. You will have also have exceptional stakeholder skills including working with health service providers, clinicians, peak bodies and non-government services to achieve impactful results. You will be highly organised, with strong project management skills and work well as part of an enthusiastic team. Current projects include the development of Community Integrated Care Hubs in partnership with Health Services; rollout and integration of Community Virtual Health Care; Emergency Access Reform projects to support streamlined patient flow and alternatives to Emergency Department presentations; and outpatient reform initiatives.
