We are seeking a Examination Invigilator (Casual).
Successful applicants will join a casual pool of examination invigilators who may be rostered each examination period. The Examination Invigilator support the Examinations Coordinator with the conduct of end of semester examinations. The Examination Invigilator will be responsible for ensuring examinations are conducted in accordance with QUT’s -procedures and policies so that all students have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.
What You Need To Succeed
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in front of large groups of diverse students to unambiguously convey instructions and respond to questions.
- Ability to follow directions, act in accordance with written guidelines, and carry out the duties specified by the Examinations Coordinator through the Chief Examinations Supervisor.
- Attention to detail with the ability to perform high volume repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy and consistency and remain focused for an extended period of time.
- Ability to work well as a member of a team and as an individual.
- Demonstrated organisational skills.
- Ability to undertake examinations in an inclusive environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment.
- Ability to ensure that activities under their control, such as the invigilation of examinations, are undertaken in compliance with health and safety policies, procedures, safe work practices and hazard reporting.
