An exciting permanent, full-time, opportunity exists to work with the Department of Education at the South East Region, Hope Island office as the Manager, Education Justice Initiative. This role leads the Court Liaison and Youth Transition Officer team and sits within the Southeast Region's Student Child and Family Connect team reporting to the Director of the business unit.About The Department

About The Role
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and oversee delivery of the Education Justice Initiative, including direct case management provision proportionate to team management responsibilities, and allocation of complex or escalated cases.
- Oversee the operation of the Education Justice Initiative with adherence to policy, procedure and legislation, providing advice on managing potential issues in consultation with internal stakeholders, and ensuring the effective management of corporate information, and communication systems and processes within the regional office.
- Strategically manage and triage regional referrals to the Education Justice Initiative and coordinate, analyse, develop, monitor and review regional case management governance and planning activities to ensure alignment with strategic priorities, legislation and policy.
- Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders including Magistrates, Judges, Youth Justice Services, legal representatives, police, multi-agency collaborative groups and community organisations, providing a departmental perspective and information related to a young person's educational history.
