The diverse and talented staff in the Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) play a central role in achieving ECU's vision, and in designing and implementing future-oriented teaching and learning strategies. With its base at the Joondalup Campus, the CLT delivers a comprehensive suite of services and programmes.
The Teaching Quality team in the Centre for Learning and Teaching supports the development of excellence in curriculum, assessment, and teaching at ECU by working collaboratively with staff in Schools and professional service centres.
The Role
The Centre for Learning and Teaching is seeking a Lecturer, Academic Practice to lead the design and facilitation of professional learning and educational recognition programs to support capability building, recognition and reward for teaching excellence and scholarship at ECU. Working closely with the Manager, Teaching Quality, the position will support Curriculum Transformation at ECU by leading the development of professional learning and evidence-informed, scholarly curriculum and assessment design, with focus on programmatic learning approaches. The role will also contribute to coordination and support of learning and teaching fellowships, awards, and scholarship, working closely with the Teaching Quality team and staff stakeholder groups to develop and deliver systems, processes and support frameworks for these activities.
Selection Criteria
A PhD in a relevant discipline and extensive relevant experience, or equivalent; Substantial experience in academic teaching, curriculum design and pedagogy. Expert knowledge and skill in the conceptualisation, design and delivery of educationalenhancement and development services and programs. Expert knowledge of a wide variety of mechanisms and schemes for the promotion of learning andteaching advancement and demonstrated achievement in delivering outcomes. Demonstrated capacity to problem-solve in fast moving, often changing and demanding situations, to work quickly to develop sophisticated and effective recommendations and plans, and to manage complexity with elegant solutions. Demonstrated proficiency and experience in working in a multi team environment to achieve seamless services to stakeholders. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to engage collegially and effectively with colleagues at all levels of the University, academic and professional, and the ability to negotiate effectively with all stakeholders.You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry Personal Excellence, and Courage.
Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $113,918 to $134,596 pa (ALEVB) pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
