Description:
As a Principal Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, robustness, and timely delivery of complex manufacturing systems for the cell therapy market. Responsibilities include:
- Leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver project outcomes on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
- Collaborating across engineering and scientific disciplines to develop solutions that meet client and project requirements.
- Delivering robust, compliant, and high-quality engineering solutions, aligned with regulatory standards.
- Mentoring and providing leadership to mechanical engineers within the team.
- Overseeing mechanical engineering aspects of projects, including budgeting, tracking, and forecasting.
- Managing build activities within structured development programs.
- Contributing to sales activities and supporting business growth initiatives.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and motivated engineer with strong technical knowledge and a collaborative mindset. You will bring:
- Practical experience in designing for automation and/or manufacturing equipment (highly desirable).
- Significant industrial experience in product development and/or manufacturing environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
- Excellent engineering aptitude with sound project management and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in team leadership, task coordination, and building effective project teams.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with remote teams.
- A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent); Professional Engineers Registration (Victoria) is desirable.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
