Join our dedicated Visitor Management team within South East Queensland Region.

As a Project Officer, you will be a key contributor to enhancing our parks and forest for visitors and nature conservation. This role calls for a dynamic and motivated person, committed to advancing and promoting our natural and cultural heritage.

We are looking for a team member that has a good understanding of estate (tenure) management, visitor communications and First Nations co-stewardship. As the Project Officer, you will assist in creating sustainable visitor experiences within the SEQ region's protected areas.

As a Project Officer, You Will

  • Be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team dedicated to developing and perfecting visitor management strategies.
  • hands-on assistance to internal team members and external partners, enhancing the recreational experience in our natural reserves.
  • Prepare comprehensive briefings, reports, and correspondence.


About You

The ideal candidate will posses

  • Exceptional organisational capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving and Analytical skills.
  • Great Communications skills - written and verbal.
  • Understanding of Legislation and Policy.
  • Ability to assist with First Nations Administrative support - particularly through working groups, advisory groups and other forms of engagement.
