Description:

We are seeking an experienced individual with a passion for horticulture and maintenance to become an integral part of our team in the beautification, care and maintenance of the City’s parks.

  • Remuneration of $2,391.68 gpf with the opportunity to progress to $2,870.02 gpf + superannuation;
  • Access to Council’s nine (9) day fortnight arrangement;

Your new role:

This position is responsible for effectively working as part of the Horticulture Team to deliver a high level of presentation for the City’s Gardens including Victory Memorial Gardens, Collins Park Civic Precinct.

Duties of the position include but are not limited:

  • Establishment and maintenance of garden and landscape areas including tree maintenance and pest and disease management;
  • Establishment and maintenance of gardens and lawns including planting, pruning, mowing weeding, irrigation and soil and sediment control; and
  • Utilisation and maintenance of small plant and equipment.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Qualifications relevant to the role e.g. Certificate III Horticulture;
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence (MR Licence Desirable);
  • Current AQF III Chemical Application Certificate; and
  • Current Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
