LAP Traineeship - Closure Readiness

Monday - Friday; 9 day fortnight
We are looking for LAP (Local Aboriginal Persons) trainees to join the closure Readiness team and participate in project processes, native seed collection and assisting the Land & Rehabilitation team.
Duties include:
- Native seed collection and storage strategy (For closure) & Rehab execution. Trainee will spend quality time with the Land & Rehab team where possible.
- Building a knowledge base for a project. This will require use of the Microsoft suite and involve learning where to finding historical reports and data
- Participating in project risk assessment processes
- Participate in developing project level stakeholder engagement plans
- Develop project controls documentation including schedules, cost tracking, risk tracking etc.
- Driving on site – primarily EW mine and infrastructure areas with an aim of getting a formal mine drive permit
- Complete personal risk assessments for all field-based activities.
- Assist with organising site visits and tours.
Successful applicants must:
- Have a current Drivers Licence
- Have LAP Status Approval;
- Be committed to the safety of yourself and the team;
- Have a high degree of work ethic and self-motivation;
- Be able to tolerate physically demanding work.
- Have efficient computer skills and understanding of Microsoft apps
