About You
Within a multi-disciplinary team and supported with regular internal supervision, you will be responsible for provision of a professional counselling service to clients and staff regarding a broad range of personal, work and psycho-social issues.

· You have (or be prepared to obtain) a NSW Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check.

About the role
Health & Wellbeing Plus provides an integrated professional service, supporting people to identify their personal and career aspirations and work through difficult things in a safe and supportive environment. We recognise, respect and celebrate diverse backgrounds and individual needs. Being familiar with and understanding the role of counselling and meaningful employment in recovery and good mental health is fundamental to the role.
In this role you will
- Assess the psychosocial and mental health conditions of presenting clients
- Provide individual counselling using a range of therapeutic skills consistent with currently accepted trauma informed, best practice
- Provide programs such as workshops and presentations.
- Collaborate with other services and individuals in support of clients
Essential
· Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or other recognised qualification under the Health Professional Award, or a Graduate Diploma in a recognised discipline.
· Registration with a professional association (e.g. AHPRA, AASW, ACA or other) as a counsellor, psychologist or social worker
· Ability to establish relationships with people of various backgrounds, cultures and ages
