Who We Are
Social Ventures Australia (SVA) is a leading social impact organisation operating across Australia.

We use our broad outlook, transformational thinking, and trusted voice to lead the charge against inequality in Australia. We were created over 20 years ago to find innovative solutions to entrenched social problems and speed up the rate of positive change.

We think differently, help redesign systems by learning about what works in communities, and work hand-in-hand with passionate partners to take real action and achieve positive social change.

The Team
Reporting to the Director, Philanthropy and Partnerships, the Fundraising and Partnerships team is responsible for all elements of fundraising at SVA. Specifically, the team works to raise income for programs and initiatives across SVA, as well as discretionary income to support the work of SVA.

SVA collaborates on innovative, multi-year programs with a diverse array of partners, including non-profit service providers, think tanks, research institutions, government agencies, community-based organisations, and community leaders. We recognise that such complex initiatives may not align with traditional fundraising methods and are therefore committed to adopting innovative and inspiring approaches to secure the necessary support.

The Fundraising and Partnerships team targets major and significant donations from trusts and foundations, high net worth individuals/families and corporate partners.

The Role
The Corporate Partnerships Manager focuses on identifying, building and nurturing innovative corporate partnerships to ensure sustainable, ongoing support for SVA’s work. By leveraging strategic prospecting, business development, and creative engagement strategies, the manager helps expand SVA’s network of corporate supporters, aligning their philanthropic goals with the organisation’s vision for social impact.

Your Benefits

  • Work in a business with a track record of driving meaningful social change including being awarded Best CSR Innovation by the Australian Financial Review (AFR) in 2023
  • Be part of the SVA team known for living by our values to put people at the centre and be open and ready to learn
  • Work in a team that offers flexibility and a hybrid work model that is specific to you and recognises that work is only one of our priorities.
  • Join a business which prioritises personal wellbeing and development, including an additional week’s leave after working with SVA for two continuous years.

Who You Are

You bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in business development and sales, including strategic prospecting, relationship building, and negotiation
  • A proven ability to build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective corporate partners aligned to organisational goals
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuade, influence and engage a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels
  • The ability to manage organisational objectives alongside partner priorities to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes

You’re accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment, with multiple and competing priorities requiring you to be flexible and adaptable to deliver on commitments. You’re excited by working on innovative projects that chart new territory where you’re creating and refining your approach along the way.

SVA values diversity and encourages applications from candidates of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people of colour. We value people of all abilities and diversity of culture, faith, gender identity and sexual orientation. We welcome unique contributions and perspectives of all people to ensure our workforce is representative of the communities we work with and live in.
