About the role
This position is professionally responsible and accountable for Speech Pathology and Audiology practice standards and services within West Moreton Hospital and Health Service (WMHHS). This includes providing high level professional leadership, strategic direction, and workforce planning in the management and delivery of Speech Pathology and Audiology services. The position includes the operational delivery of Speech Pathology and Audiology clinical services within the Division of Allied Health, and includes resource allocation of services to teams outside of the Division of Allied Health (Community Based Rehabilitation Team, Child Development Service, Rural facilities, State-wide Audiology Clinical Educator).
Through collaboratively working as part of the Allied Health leadership team, act as a leader and advocate for speech pathology and audiology, allied health services, to support the safe and efficient delivery of patient centred care in line with WMHHS, state, and national health priorities.

Your success in this role will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘About this role', the ideal person for this role will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Expert level clinical knowledge, expertise and skill in Speech Pathology.
- Ability to convey strategic initiatives to a broad range of stakeholders.
- Capability to provide strategic and operational management over multiple clinical services and sites.
- Ability to Provide strategic direction across multiple facilities and services.
- Ability to contribute to the development of professional standards on a local and State-wide basis.
