Recovery Support Worker - WOLLONGONG
The core mission of Wellcare Australia is to promote and support a recovery based on hope, and an ambition for flourishing mental health, for our participants. We work collaboratively with individuals, services and systems across the Canberra and South Coast Region to cultivate our participant’s capacity for creativity, care, compassion, realism, and resilience.
At Wellcare Australia, we provide shared housing and assistance for mental health participants with ongoing care needs. Our vision is to provide excellent person-centred and recovery-oriented care, through the provision of our support workers, to help our participants through their recovery journey. Wellcare Australia is also a registered NDIS provider.
We are seeking experienced, suitably qualified, and motivated applicants to fulfil a Casual Recovery Support Worker position within our exciting sport focused opportunity. The successful applicants will work collaboratively with our management team deliver holistic care and support to our participants within their sports goals.

The successful applicants will need to have a minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health, Disability Services, or other related field, as well as experience in working as a team coach, playing sports, and caring for participants in residential care or mental health setting. Applicants with a Certificate III in Mental Health, Disability Services, or other related field, as well as experience working in a residential care or mental health setting, are also encouraged to apply.
NOTE : Applicants must obtain an NDIS Worker Check Working with Children Check prior to an offer of employment. Applicants must also hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate, and complete the NDIS Orientation Module and COVID-19 Infection Control Module (Hand Hygiene) prior to employment.
