About The Role
The Nurse Unit Manager provides an evidence based and contemporary clinical nursing service within a Geriatric Evaluation Management (GEM) and Geriatric complex discharge ward via operational management and leadership. The Nurse Unit Manager positively influences nursing colleagues to develop in the areas of advanced clinical nursing skills; patient and staff education, patient flow, resource management and service planning.

Demonstrated skill in financial management, data analysis, outcome evaluation, service improvement and the ability to communicate these effectively to senior management or external agencies.Demonstrated contemporary clinical nursing expertise with clear understanding of the requirement for patient centred careDemonstrated management experience and capability with an ability and commitment to practice collaboratively within the service and the broader multidisciplinary health care team to deliver high quality care.Demonstrated effective communication skill including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across disciplines.Demonstrated ability to be an effective nursing professional with capability for high level engagement across the spectrum of stakeholders including patients and families.
