The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly motivated all-rounder to support our workshop and office in Mackay. This position is full time hours, Monday – Friday, it will initially be offered on an ongoing temporary basis with the opportunity for the position to become permanent. In this position, you will support operational workflows and provide administrative support to the branch. This role would suit a flexible team-player who enjoys a role with a lot of variety and the opportunity to provide support across several business functions.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Branch Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • First point of contact for enquiries at the front desk, including incoming phone calls and assisting visitors to sign in.
  • Mail collection and distribution.
  • Raise purchase orders and manage stock levels of office supplies and consumables, uniforms, and other requirements.
  • Document coordination into online systems, including meeting minutes, equipment pre-start checklists, pick slips and delivery dockets, and maintenance and compliance reports.
  • Provide overflow support to our estimator and scheduler, including managing projects, raising quotes, sales orders and pronto requirements.
  • Branch administration requirements

About You

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

  • Customer service focus, supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good computer skills. A working knowledge of the Microsoft suite or Pronto would be beneficial but not essential.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures, both written and verbal.
  • Admin experience is not essential as training will be provided, but a can-do attitude is a must!
