The Opporutnity:
Our client is a Global food packaging OEM with substantial global growth of late and as a result, we are on the lookout for an A-grade licensed Industrial Electrician with strong commissioning experience to work out of Brisbane QLD. You as the successful candidate will be installing and commissioning food processing systems, machinery, parts, and electrical equipment on customer sites around Australia and Globally.
You will hand over to customers and obtain project acceptance on installation sites worldwide. This includes:
- Installation and commissioning of food process systems and equipment.
- Supervision of on-site personnel.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
- Responding to and arranging repair of system/equipment breakdown.
- Customer training.
- Regular overseas travel. Up to 90% travel away from home both interstate and internationally.
Skills and Experience:
- A grade Electrical Licence, preferably in QLD, but NSW or VIC would be suitable.
- Strong experience with PLC programming, specifically Alan Bradley and Siemens.
- Familiar with networking, VFD (variable frequency drives), control loops, temperature controllers, burners, and burner controls.
- Food industry experience
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to travel internationally at short notice and for extended periods.
- An understanding of equipment technical specifications and application to processing systems.
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills.
- Full Australian working rights.
