Lead in the development, implementation and project management of departmental and whole-of-government programs and strategies in relation to the provision of human services to children and families across Queensland.The Manager Key Responsibilities Are
- Provide leadership to the work unit, including the management of staff and resources allocated to achieve strategic and project outcomes.
- Lead the provision of strategic policy and practice advice on matters across the child protection continuum and support the development of state-wide practice networks.
- Lead the implementation, monitoring and review of departmental priorities.
- Lead the development and implementation of quality systems and procedures to ensure the effective coordination of responses to critical client, stakeholder and system issues.
- Implement effective coordination and ensure governance mechanisms are in place with program, policy and regional stakeholders to ensure effective liaison and to inform the development, monitoring and review of key business requirements.
- Provide advice regarding emerging issues, critical paths, project linkages and strategic opportunities and challenges.
- Ensure the delivery of high-level analysis, advice and recommendations of innovative approaches to new trends and issues that impact on service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.
The position has Level 6 Human Resource and Financial Delegations.
