Description:

Are you an experienced WHS professional ready to take full ownership of a growing national safety function?
As a newly created role, you will have the opportunity to shape the function for this healthcare organisation. Working alongside the C-Suite and executives, you will be key in setting and implementing the WHS strategy.
The Role

• Reporting directly to the CPO, this is a genuine greenfield opportunity where you will manage the function from end to end. Your responsibilities will include;
• Conduct a full review and gap analysis of the current WHS landscape, providing short, mid and long-term recommendations;
• Build a safety framework with a focus on implementation across the sites;
• Develop and implement safety training programs, identifying what is mandatory and nice to have;
• Partner with senior leaders and site managers to ensure best practice in line with legislation; and
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance.

To Be Successful

• Demonstrated standalone WHS experience, ideally in the allied healthcare or care services sectors;
• Proven track record of developing and implementing safety frameworks;
• Demonstrable experience embedding a safety culture;
• National WHS experience is advantageous; and
• Sound understanding of current WHS legislation and policies.
