Food Manufacturing Maintenance Fitter
- Full Time, permanent position
- Shift - Afternoon shift, Monday - Friday
- 2pm-10PM
- Hourly rate- Circa $45-55ph
- OT rate- time and half for first 2 hours, then double time
- Must be Citizen or PR
We're looking to hire a permanent Maintenance Fitter on behalf of our client, a successful, packaging manufacturer. Due to the nature of the role, a background in food manufacturing maintenance is essential. The company produces a range of beverage packaging and have high standards in the quality of their products and stuff.
The role
As a skilled Food Manufacturing Maintenance Fitter, the role will have you undertake a variety of tasks ranging from project work & insulations through to preventative maintenance, breakdowns, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day efficient running of Plant Equipment.
- Maintenance of plant and equipment inc; Preventative maintenance.
- Diagnostics and fault finding.
- Process improvement of plant and equipment.
- Pipework and valves.
- Process pumps.
- Screw and belt conveyors.
- Boiler and steam equipment.
- Pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Operate & Service Machinery.
- Provide technical support to the production team.
- Promote and adhere to Quality, OHS, and HACCP guidelines.
Experience:
- Trade Qualified with a minimum of 4 years maintenance experience in a similar role in Manufacturing environments.
- Experience using CMMS systems.
- Hands on with an enthusiastic attitude
- Excellent communication skills.
- Work autonomously and be a self-starter to be a part of an engaged team.
- Forklift licence is an advantage.
