Meet the Litigation vertical

You're a Litigation lawyer. You want to make sure you stay at the top of your game, being the best lawyer you can be and staying ahead of your competition - but you're keen to try something other than private practice?

This is an opportunity for a lawyer with a specilisation in litigation who feels passionately that these goals are possible through custom technology and AI. You will be an important member of a new "Litigation " vertical which LEAP have recently established, and contribute significantly to building custom products and services to help practitioners working in litigation throughout Australia. As a collaborator with a passion for all things tech, or someone who constantly enjoys improvement and making things better, you'll join a small but mighty team that includes Product Owners, Developers and Content Specialists to create Litigation specific products.

What you'll do

AI is the future and LEAP is at the forefront technically of applying AI to the legal industry. You will play a huge part in making this happen and driving change for the better (think automatic time recording, AI drafted affidavits and briefs to counsel!) You'll bring your experience and expertise in litigation and your ability to understand our clients to focus on the needs of firms that practice litigation. You'll report to the Director of the Litigation vertical and help drive the direction and strategy this business unit takes. The products you help improve and design will see your colleagues in litigation soar and put them ahead of every other lawyer out there.

To make this happen, you will:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the needs of litigation lawyers to provide ongoing feedback to members of content and development teams to help improve the core product for litigation lawyers and drive the development of litigation specific solutions.
  • Ensure clients use LEAP Litigation in the best possible way - help them to help their clients in the most effective way possible.
  • Educate clients on LEAP Litigation nationally, including delivering demos and webinars, attending seminars, networking events, and relevant conferences. You will be the real legal expert behind the Litigation vertical.

What you'll bring

  • 4+ years of recent experience practicing in litigation.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and delivering meaningful change.
  • A strong understanding of or interest in AI technologies and their application within the legal sector.
  • Strong presentation skills – you can effectively present LEAP features to a group of people and have the ability to read the room.

You are the type of person who

  • Is professional and approachable, with high impact communication – you can clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas to individuals and groups in a variety of situations; communicating in a focused and compelling way that drives others’ thoughts and actions
  • Is a team player, one that understands that diverse opinions make a team and the benefit of achieving goals and decisions together.
  • Is confident in your ability, your skills in commercial litigation and can make decisions and stand behind them.
  • Is a self starter and thrive in an autonomous environment, taking initiative to drive results and meaningful impact.
  • Is curious - you're not afraid to ask questions and explore. You're okay with making mistakes and trying again to get to where you want to go.

Why join LEAP?

  • Make an impact. You won’t be another ‘cog in the wheel’ here. We give full trust and autonomy for you to be heard, to work on big & complex projects – and to make a real difference.
