What you’ll love about the role:

Reporting to the Technical Claims Manager, the purpose of this role is to implement a proactive claims management process that clearly differentiates NTI from its competitors in technical expertise, service delivery and claims management. This role is a fantastic opportunity to manage your own portfolio of claims end-to end from lodgement through to settlement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a referral point for Mobile Plant & Equipment (MPE) lodgement, oversee and provide a level of input on escalated claims, claims policy interpretations, commercial decisions and ex-gratia decision (contentious, denied or complex) within agreed authority limits
  • Drive best practice Claims management across all teams
  • Complete quality assurance controls including audit and provide results and feedback to the business
  • Drive cultural change with a defined focus for excellence and partner with senior leaders to influence major change
  • Create and execute analysis on claims activity, trends on claims performance as determined by the business

Are you the Claims Consultant we are looking for?

You will have a sound knowledge of claims processes, systems and approaches. As a strong ambassador of the NTI Claims Proposition, you will have the ability to maintain a high level of service and accuracy in your own portfolio, alongside assisting others in the team to succeed and build their technical knowledge. In addition you will have;

  • At least 1-2 years experience working in a Claims Consultant role, any general insurance product is fine but MPE or commercial motor would be a big plus!
  • Experience coaching and mentoring other in best practice claims management.
  • Certificate IV in General Insurance (either completed or currently working towards)
