Description:

TROG Cancer Research is looking for an experienced Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to join our team full time (1.0 FTE), but part time may be considered for suitable candidates.

For more than 35 years, TROG Cancer Research has conducted world-class research involving radiation medicine to improve outcomes and quality of life for people affected by cancer. We provide high quality clinical trial services accessible by any researcher, cooperative or pharmaceutical group. These services encompass the design, development and coordination of clinical trials within different oncology specialty areas including breast, lung, head/neck, skin, genitourinary, gastrointestinal and central nervous system.

As an experienced CRA you will be responsible for central trial coordination, working closely with the study team of investigators, from project initiation through to study close out. Your responsibilities will include conducting site training, ensuring ethics and regulatory requirements are met, remote monitoring/audit activities and data management for a range of multi-centre clinical trials.

You will be working with a team of dedicated and passionate clinical research professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment. Minimal travel may be required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in clinical or life sciences, health, nursing and/or research.
  • Minimum 3 years (CRA) of multi-site clinical trial experience as a Study Coordinator, Clinical Research Associate or equivalent within an Academic/Not for Profit, Site, Contract Research Organisation (CRO) or pharmaceutical research environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ICH GCP, NHMRC National Statement, and ethical/regulatory requirements
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Proven ability to identify and analyse problems, make recommendations and formulate effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge in applying measures for quality improvement and risk management

Desirable Attributes

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of trial start up, conduct and close out.
  • Oncology clinical trials experience.
  • Working knowledge of electronic data capture systems.
  • Ability to mentor and provide leadership within a team environment
