The Opportunity
The Team Leader, Business Transactions will be responsible for providing day to day support and management to a team responsible for efficiently managing business transactions, accounts payable, and receivable, and payroll. The role will focus on delivering efficient and effective outcomes consistent with the financial control environment, whilst ensuring accuracy, compliance, and streamlined processes. What you will deliver
- Lead and support a team of finance professionals, ensuring high-quality financial reporting, purchasing, and accounting advice to stakeholders.
- Streamline key transactional process as well as manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions by acting as a quality controller across all aspects of these functions to ensure consistency in policy application and advice.
- Review and execute project financial transactions, including requisitions, journals, and purchase orders, in line with relevant policies and procedures.
- Monitor project cash flow and prepare financial forecasts, supporting effective planning and resource allocation.
- Drive process improvements by identifying and implementing system enhancements in collaboration with the Project Accounting Manager.
- Manage monthly accruals process ensuring appropriate substantiation is available for review and audit.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualifications in a business, finance or related qualification is required.
- A professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA) is also required.
- Demonstrated experience in providing specialist transactional and accounts support services.
- Proven team management skills with the ability to establish credibility, maintain relationships and influence with both internal and external stakeholders.
