About the role
Central Coast Council is excited to offer Education and Care traineeships including Certificate III and Diploma.
Our Certificate III traineeship will give you the opportunity to gain theoretical and practical experience whilst working at an Education and Care Centre over 18 months.
Our Diploma traineeships give you an opportunity to build upon your theoretical and practical experience while working within an education and care centre over 24 months - (you must hold a Certificate III qualification to be eligible for a diploma traineeship.

Other important information
- The salary range for the Certificate III traineeship sits between $15.74 - $21.66 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation
- The salary range for the Diploma traineeship sits between $16.53 - $22.75 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation
- The Certificate III and Diploma Traineeships are temporary full-time roles. We have positions available at Northlakes, Niagara Park, Umina and Kariong.
- Applicants may be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus (Boostrix), MMR and Varicella or demonstrate their immunity. CMV screening will be required.
- Our Education and Care Centres are located at Niagara Park, Kariong, Umina, Terrigal, Toukley, Wyong, Kanwal and San Remo.
Applicants must meet screening requirements for existing qualifications which determine eligibility for a traineeship .
Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
