What you will be doing
As a Maintenance Fitter / Electrician, working Monday to Friday with a 7am start you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conducting preventative maintenance, modifications, and repairs on plant and equipment
- Ensuring plant and equipment are maintained to specified standards and safe working conditions
- Responding to emergency breakdowns and minimizing unplanned downtime
- Coordinating maintenance activities with the operations team
- Maintaining and operating a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders and spare parts
- Conducting root cause analysis for breakdowns and safety issues
- Preparing reports and analyzing data to improve plant operations and efficiency
- Monitoring plant equipment performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Complying with all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
What you will need
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner
- 5+ years of industry experience working in manufacturing and maintenance teams
- Strong knowledge of OH&S and environmental policies and legislation
- Current driver’s and forklift licenses
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and maintenance software
- Ability to work under pressure with effective communication skills
- EWP operations license
- Relevant tickets to perform tasks
