About the role
The demi chef / cook role at the Iluka Tavern in Coles Bay, Tasmania is a casual position that will see you play a key part in the kitchen team. You will assist the head chef in the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals for our guests, contributing to the smooth running of the kitchen and ensuring a consistently excellent dining experience.

Assisting the head chef with food preparation and cooking tasks Following recipes and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Plating and presenting dishes to a high standard Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment Supporting the broader kitchen team as requiredWhat we're looking for
Previous experience as a demi chef or cook, preferably in a similar hospitality setting Strong cooking skills and a keen eye for detail Excellent time management and the ability to work well under pressure A positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for food Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen awareness What we offer
