Working within Strategy, Policy and Governance you will play a key role in developing reports, strategies and policies for the ECQ to meet its corporate governance and statutory responsibilities.Your contribution
Lead the development and presentation of comprehensive, quality reports, briefs, policies and submissions including election reports, annual reports and strategic plans.
Deliver projects to support the conduct of Queensland's State and local government electoral events and conducting research and analysis on electoral outcomes and trends to support business improvements.
Provide authoritative, strategic and tactical advice to support reviews of Queensland's electoral boundaries and arrangements, through the periodic operation of the Queensland Redistribution Commission and Local Government Change Commission.
Identify, research, analyse and develop election related policies and strategies that enable the achievement of government and organisational objectives.
Demonstrate familiarity with the public sector context, including an understanding of corporate governance requirements, the ability to interpret and apply legislative requirements and effective written and oral communication skills.
Lead and participate in projects, comprising internal and external resources, to review, develop and implement strategic policies ensuring that projects are completed within quality, cost and time constraints.
Build strong relationships and working collaboratively with external stakeholders, including government departments, local governments and stakeholder organisations.
Consistently display the ECQ and Queensland Government values, ensuring they are upheld at all levels of the organisation.
