Description:
Paraway Pastoral Company is a leading agricultural business operating across more than 4.4 million hectares of land in Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Station & Feedlot Hand to join the team at Nullamanna Station. Conveniently located 21km north-east of Inverell in Northern NSW, 302kms to Toowoomba QLD, and 200kms to Tamworth NSW.
The station features a 3,000-head capacity feedlot that services the EU market and backgrounds up to 3,000 head of cattle.
Reporting to the Station Manager, you will work as part of a dedicated team of seven. The role involves hands-on work across feedlot operations including cattle handling, maintenance, and machinery operation including but not limited to:
- Daily cattle handling and livestock care
- General station and feedlot maintenance
- Operation of a range of farm machinery (e.g. skid steer loader, loader, excavator, tractors)
- Upholding workplace health and safety standards
- Supporting feeding and yard activities as required
- Working as part of a collaborative and safety-conscious team
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in cattle handling and low-stress stock handling
- Competency operating agricultural machinery
- Practical skills in mechanical and general property maintenance
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
- Clear communication skills
- A current driver’s licence (HR licence an advantage but not essential)
- Availability to work rostered weekends
