Being a Utility Worker in the industry is different to the normal hospitality lane. (Great news if you’re looking for a fresh start. It still requires a passion for creating clean and safe spaces, from Mine Site Cleaners to Housekeeping or Kitchen Utility departments the emphasis is on ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner creating a clean and safe environment for all. To name a few of your daily routine for one of these roles (Mine Site Cleaner/Housekeeper/Kitchen) or combined Utility All Rounder at Cater Care encompasses a variety of tasks, including:
- Setting up and clearing dining rooms
- Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas
- Maintaining legislated food hygiene and safety practices
- Fast, effective service throughout busy periods - with a good attitude
- Assisting the broader team as required
- Preparing and presenting texture-modified foods
- Dining Room Duties - maintain cleanliness, stock and crib food levels
- Housekeeping Duties - room and ensuite cleaning, making beds (if needed)
- Common Area Cleaning - emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning
- Mine Site Cleaning - cleaning offices, crib huts, bathhouses
Skills And Experiences
The Ideal Applicant Will Have:
- Experience working as a Utility/ Utility All Rounder/Cleaner/Housekeeper/Kitchen Hand 12 months +
- A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
- A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment
- Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
- Drivers License (Auto or Man)
- Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
