As a mechanic, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing the on-site air boats and other vehicles, as well as assisting the maintenance manager with general day to day property maintenance; including the solar system, water pumps, treatment plants and generators etc.
We are looking for someone who is not just technically proficient but also enjoys working in a remote environment, someone that values teamwork and cooperation.

Package:
- $80,000 - $85,000 Salary per annum + Super

- Assist with general maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, basic electrical, air conditioning, carpentry, and general repairs
- Implement a planned maintenance program to ensure the longevity of facilities, equipment, vehicles, and infrastructure
- Maintain vessels, vehicles and equipment at the highest standards to continuously improve performance, reliability, safety and presentation
- Proactively ensure all vessels, vehicles and equipment are maintained and operated in accordance with company standard and guidelines, manufacturer's specifications, company directives, and regulatory requirements
- Identify and assist with improvements to facilities, vessels, vehicles and equipment to enhance overall guest and staff experience
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of solar power systems and generators
- Ensure venue facilities and grounds are kept in an excellent and presentable condition
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with overseeing venue's utilities, including water, sewage, power generation, and waste disposal, ensuring efficient and sustainable operation
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, guest accommodations, staff housing, and common areas to identify and address maintenance needs proactively
- Promptly respond and resolve maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely procurement of necessary materials
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialised repairs and upgrades
- Support sustainability initiatives, such as waste reduction, energy conservation, and eco-friendly maintenance practices
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inventory, and budgetary expenditures, ensuring cost-effective management
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience by addressing maintenance-related concerns effectively
- Identify and report risks related to delivery of the maintenance works and site operations
- Model, facilitate and monitor a high standard of workplace safety, environmental, and quality compliance across all work sites
- Assist with venue operations and general tasks as required
- Ensure all required actions and tasks are completed accurately and within given time frames as directed.
- Attend and participate in all relevant team and departmental meetings.
- Promote and adhere to the company values of the company
- Abide by all company procedures in respect to appearance, performance and conduct standards, workplace health and safety, emergency procedures and all other policies and procedures as required including employee handbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Any other reasonable tasks requested by your manager.
- Relevant Trade Qualifications
- Drivers License
- First Aid and CPR (HLTAID011 & HLTAID009)
- National Police Clearance
- Own Transport
