About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Manager to join our Northern Adelaide Rehabilitation Service (NARS), taking overall leadership of the Northern Adelaide Pain Rehabilitation Service. This service aims to improve the delivery of pain management services to people living in the NALHN catchment area by providing assessment, treatment and management, follow-up and shared care with GPs and other related professionals for NALHN patients suffering from chronic pain conditions.
The NALHN is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.
As a Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services to our patients. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations, developing and implementing policies and procedures, promoting a positive work culture and fostering continuous improvement initiatives.
The Senior Manager is one of four Senior Managers within the NARS.
NARS provides:
- Inpatient Rehabilitation - 52 beds Modbury Hospital
- Rehabilitation in the Home (RITH) - 30 virtual community ‘beds’
- Day Rehabilitation Service (DRS) and Specialist Outpatient Clinics (including spasticity clinics, driving assessment, orthotics/ prosthetics clinics, and hydrotherapy)
- Northern Adelaide Pain Rehabilitation Service
The Senior Managers are responsible for managing key element(s) of the NARS operations.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification for one of the following Allied Health disciplines working in the service, specifically:
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification, usually in human movements, inclusive of the exercise physiology elective and eligible for accreditation from Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
