About the role

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Officer to support a range of technical operations within our Blood Bank team. In this role, you'll work both independently and collaboratively, applying your knowledge and skills to perform a variety of tasks including pre-transfusion compatibility testing and other Blood bank related testing. You’ll use your technical expertise to follow established procedures and practices, contributing to the delivery of high-quality outcomes in a supportive and professional environment.

As a Technical Officer (TGO 1), you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in diverse technical projects that require hands-on experience and a practical understanding of the work at hand. Whether you're assisting with ongoing initiatives or tackling new challenges, this role offers a great platform to further develop your abilities while making a meaningful contribution to our team’s success.

About You

You’re a motivated and capable individual with a passion for technical work in a laboratory setting. To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A recognised Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant scientific or technical field.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

  • The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.

  • Demonstrated experience in laboratory practices and a sound understanding of WHS requirements.
