CRS is seeking a permanent full-time Architectural Draftsperson to join our Open Play Space design team. The role is fast paced within a very competitive environment, you will be instrumental in the continuing growth of the business by assisting in the preparation of tender winning Playground Designs.
The role is collaborative, you will be working alongside colleagues with diverse professional skills and experience. You will be expected to foster our existing culture where everyone looks out for each other, values each other's contributions and is willing to give each other a helping hand to achieve superior outcomes. This integral role presents exciting progressions to be made within the company.
Key Responsibility Open Play Space - Architectural Draftsperson Reviewing tender documents and/or consulting with clients
Site visits including meetings with clients and basic surveying Playground/Landscape design concepts and detailing The ability to interpret, investigate, and articulate enticing design solutions
2D Drafting / detailing 3D Rendering assistance Packaging designs for submitting presentation
Project cost estimating and preparation of detailed quotes Submitting tenders to strict time frames Creating professional reports / documents for internal & external stakeholders
Ensuring product specifications and quality standards are met Architectural Draftsperson Assisting Landscape designers/Architects, construction manager, builders and contractors in planning and organisation
Preparing preliminary sketches, technical drawings and detailed specifications for the designer/architect 2D Drafting / detailing 3D Rendering assistance
Liaising with builders and contractors to create and update plans, maps, charts and drawings for projects Project cost and time scales estimating and preparation of detailed quotes Incorporate measurements and building codes for construction.
Ensuring product specifications and quality standards are met. About You
You will balance self-motivation and organisation with creativity and an exquisite eye for detail. You possess the ability to work independently, yet still seek input and ask for help from team members when needed. Ideally you possess or are working towards a professional qualification in Landscape Design /Architecture.
Skills
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to engage directly with existing and potential clients with confidence and enthusiasm. During times of need, you are willing to engage in our collaborative online environment while working remotely. Key attributes:
Tertiary qualification in Landscape Design/Architecture, Architecture, Architectural Technology or Industrial Design required; Minimum 2 years’ experience within a related or similar environment required. Proficiency in AutoCad, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Experience in tender/bids/submissions and estimating is highly advantageous. Experience with 3D Studio Max and Vray will be viewed favourably. Proficiency in Solidedge or similar will be considered a major asset for the role.
Job Type: Permanent - Full-time Annual Salary: From $73,150.00 per year plus superannuation 8 hour shift
