The Opportunity

The Newstead Residences offers an unprecedented retirement lifestyle in the heart of Newstead. Elevated above the lively Gasworks precinct, it blends modern, low-maintenance retirement village living with inner-city convenience in one vibrant destination. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality daily care services for residents within our Serviced Apartments, with a focus on promoting their independence and well-being. You will enjoy fostering strong relationships with residents, their families and your colleagues to help ensure care outcomes are consistently exceeded. Our Personal Care Attendants have a strong focus on social support, so we are looking for vibrant and social Personal Care Attendants, with a background or passion for Home or Community Care.

This is a part-time night-shift position working:
  • Week One: Tuesday and Wednesday 10.30pm-6.30am
  • Week Two: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10.30pm-6.30am

You will
  • Work as part of a team providing safe and effective daily personal care, tailored to the resident's care needs in line with their current care plans
  • Ensure all residents receive kind, caring and respectful personal care that supports their choice and independence
  • Provide assistance to the residents and community with tasks including (but not limited to): medical & personal support, domestic cleaning and general admin duties
  • Supporting residents with recreational and social activities
  • Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents
  • Be passionate, trustworthy, reliable and enjoy connecting with residents, colleagues and the wider community
What you will bring
  • Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate (required)
  • Current Police Check clearance (required, however we can complete for you)
  • Current COVID-19 Vaccinations up to date (required)
