Heidelberg Materials Australia have an opportunity for a Trainee Quarry Materials Technician to join the team at our NATA Accredited Laboratory based at Nerang Quarry.
The successful candidate will fill an important role of testing aggregates both in the laboratory and in the field. We are seeking a self-motivated candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is physically fit and possesses a strong work ethic. The successful applicant will have an impeccable customer focus and be highly motivated and enthusiastic, risk-aware and safety-driven. In your new role, you will:

• Perform aggregate field sampling in the quarry

• Perform aggregate testing within the site laboratory

• Maintain paperwork

• Housekeeping

• Willingness to learn new skills and assist technical team.

• Daily use of computers using various software.

This role is a great fit for you, if you have:

• A current Queensland manual provisional or open driver's licence

• A strong work ethic and are physically fit.

• A high level of IT, literacy and numeracy skills (written & verbal) with excellent attention to detail.

• Motivation, self-discipline, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent Health and Safety behaviours

• Availability to work regular overtime during the week and half-day Saturdays.
