We are looking for one or more Paralegals to support a high performing team of workplace relations lawyers on either a full time or part time, on-going or non-ongoing basis. The role will provide an exceptional opportunity to develop skills in workplace relations and learn from a highly experienced team. The position is ideal for candidates who are currently undertaking a Bachelor of Laws and looking for a part time role to fit around their study. The position would also suit recent graduates, looking to work full time or part time.The key duties of the position include
Responsibilities of the APS Level 3 may include:
- Undertaking legal and legal policy research (including in relation to Government workplace relations priorities).
- Summarising Court and tribunal decisions of interest.
- Updating fact sheets and tracking tables to reflect developments in the law.
- Preparing minutes of meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proofing legislative process documents (including explanatory memoranda and talking points).
- Summarising submissions of external stakeholders relating to proposed amendments to workplace relations legislation.
- Preparing Parliamentary debate folders and Senate Estimates folders.
- Updating project trackers.
- General administration.
- Records management.
