The Team:
You will be joining the Mersey Community Hospital Integrated Operations Centre team. This includes the rostering support unit, IOC administration, Discharge Planners, casual pool and After-Hours Nurse Managers. As a leader of the IOC as the Nurse Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the IOC and oversight over hospital wide staffing and patient access and flow in collaboration with the Nursing Director Integrated Operations and Nursing and Operations Director.
The Role:
- Leadership and management of the IOC and direct reports
- Coordination of hospital wide patient access and flow
- Multidisciplinary collaboration to optimise patient flow
- Oversight over hospital wide staffing and casual pool utilisation
- Leading and supporting teams with complex discharge matters and multidisciplinary MDT's
- Lead emergency calls
You will need:
- Sound leadership, management and communication skills
- Knowledge of demand and capacity and patient flow principles
- To have ability to perform well in high pressure situations and maintain good resilience.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, part time, day worker/ shift worker position, working up to 32 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 16 August 2025
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $122,365 to $129,060 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
