  • Part Time 22.5 hours p.w. - December 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Audiology Clinical Lead to join our Audiology Team.

About the role:

Reporting to the Audiology Manager, your role will be responsible for the interpretation of results and communication with referral sources to identify appropriate surgical, medical and rehabilitative intervention, including, but not limited to, adult cochlear implant candidacy assessment and post operative care; pre and post operative paediatric hearing care and adult ototoxic monitoring.

Duties for this role include:

  • Work with operational competence and in close collaboration with other audiologists and health care profession teams, adopting new techniques where evidence indicates its use,
  • Contribute to the maintenance of quality service standards of the equipment in conjunction with BME and other audiologists, instructing in aspects of calibration where necessary,
  • Undertaking training as required to attain and maintain required competency of skills and knowledge applicable to the role,
  • Formulating and reviewing the objectives of the Audiology services consistent with SALHN and Allied Health Strategic Plans,
  • Advising the Audiology Manager of resources required to ensure ongoing development of these services and acquiring these where needed.

Please note: This position is multi-classed as AHP2 or AHP3 and classification will be determined by qualifications and/or experience.

About you:

  • Appropriate degree and or equivalent qualification in Audiology which gives eligibility for full Association membership with Audiology Australia,
  • Ability to organise workloads, set priorities and manage time effectively,
  • Proven ability to lead, plan, co-ordinate and manage an audiology specialty,
  • Written and oral communication skills which result in effective and appropriate communication with a broad range of people,
  • Adult Cochlear Implant experience,
  • Supervision of audiology staff,
  • Clinical Audiology experience working in a hospital setting and with multidisciplinary teams.
  • (AHP3) - At least 5 years post-graduate experience in a broad range of audiological clinical procedures including the management of patients affected by hearing and communication disorders
  • (AHP2) - Knowledge of paediatric pre and post operative hearing care,
