Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Assurance Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.
About the Position:
As the Assurance Manager for Sequence Alliance, your primary purpose is to ensure the Program follows all Systems Assurance processes, thereby ensuring compliance with all functional requirements, safety standards and the Australia Code of Practice.
The Sequence Alliance is delivering an ETCS L2 program for the CRR Project and Department of Transport. This extensive program of work comprises, ETCS L2, ATO over ETCS, PSD (Platform Screen Door) management and ETG (Electronic Train Graph) across the entire Southeast Queensland network.
Key responsibilities:
To guarantee a strong Assurance argument to support the approval of Systems and Subsystems by the client including ONRSR (Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator)
Developing safety processes, deliverables and safety arguments to demonstrate risk reduction ‘So Far As Is Reasonably Practicable’ and compliance with National Rail Safety Law
To define the System Assurance and Integration strategy
To manage the Safety Management Strategy aligned with client expectation and with HRSTS guidelines
Developing, documenting and evidencing appropriate Safety Assurance arguments during all phases of the Project
To manage the interface with Project ISA, to close ISA findings on time and lead Project ISA assessment
To manage the System Validation for the project as per EN50126 and project requirements
To manage System RAM for the project as per EN50126 and project requirements
To coordinate inputs from different sub-systems development and engineering, system integration, construction and commissioning teams as required
Managing the preparation and development of project safety assurance reports, statements and related documentation
Responsible for schedule, budget and resources for System Assurance
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field
10+ years' experience in a similar role
Experience gained across multiple complex Rail industry projects
Ability to successfully operate in a complex and multiculturally diverse environment
Accomplished leader capable of delivering on time and within budget
