VE Group AU Trade Assistant role would suit someone who first and foremost aligns with our core values and thrives in a hands-on environment. This individual will play a vital role in supporting shed maintenance, assisting mechanics with repairs cleaning machinery and trucks, and running for parts.
The role calls for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to working in a dynamic environment. The Trade Assistant plays a vital role in supporting
Key Responsibilities:
- Workshop maintenance and general upkeep.
- Prepping fleet for repairs and inspections including cleaning and setting work areas.
- Assisting mechanics with repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Monitoring the workspace for hazards and performing minor fixes to maintain a safe environment.
- Recording basic details of tasks completed (e.g. parts collected, maintenance logs).
- Tool and Equipment maintenance with regular inspecting, cleaning and organising tools and equipment.
- Prompt parts collection and delivery for efficient operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Practical experience in trade assistance or maintenance support.
- HRWL – LF or LO (Forklift Ticket), desirable or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to lift moderate loads (e.g. 20-25kgs) given the hands nature of the duties.
- General Construction Card (Blue/White Card).
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team.
- Current manual driver’s license (essential).
