Join us in shaping the future of Amazon's payment solutions! As a Finance Manager on our International Emerging Stores Payments team, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, driving financial strategies and insights for our Australia Payment business. Your role will be pivotal in supporting various payment products and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve our goals.

A Day in the Life

In this role, you'll dive into the dynamic world of payments, working on initiatives like Co-branded Credit Card, Installments, Buy Now Pay Later, and more. Your day will be filled with strategic financial planning, analyzing performance metrics, and providing valuable insights to senior leadership. You'll also engage in ad hoc analysis to address evolving business needs, all while fostering strong relationships with our business teams.

Our team operates out of our fabulous CBD office (conveniently located near many transportation options)

Key job responsibilities
• Lead financial planning and analysis for Amazon's Australia Payment business, including long- and short-term strategies.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting and ensure accurate controllership.
• Develop and report on weekly financial and operational performance metrics.
• Provide analytical support and insights to senior leadership.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to address emerging business needs and challenges.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
