We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sport and Activities Administrator to join our team and contribute to delivering an outstanding sporting program to our students.
SPORT AT ST MARGARET’S
St Margaret’s has a long, proud history of women in sport. The school was one of three founding members of the Queensland Girls’ Secondary Schools Sports Association (QGSSSA) in 1908, an association that continues today. The school also competes in the Brisbane Schoolgirls’ Rowing Association (BRSA), Water Polo Queensland and Downey Park Netball Association (DPNA). The primary school is a member of the Andrews Cup Competition. The sport program at the school is diverse and inclusive and currently includes AFL, Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Cross Country, Soccer, Gymnastics, Hockey, Netball, Rowing, Swimming, Tennis and Touch Football. The school culture is inclusive and encourages a high-level of participation in the sporting program.
The Role
The Sport and Activities Administrator works closely with the Director of Sport and other key members of the Sport and Activities Department to ensure the smooth delivery of sporting events, activities and programs. The role has a particular focus on:
- Sport and Activity Event Management
- Sport and Activity Communication, Promotion and Reporting
- Sport and Activity Program Coordination, Support and Delivery
About You
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and energetic administrator with a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude. You will have:
- Strong administrative skills with a high-level of competence with the Microsoft suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- A team player with a passion for sport
