The Opportunity
We have an incredible opportunity for an IT Operations manager to take the reins of our IT Operations team, supporting our passionate workforce across 3 countries and 4 Distribution Centres. This role is well situated to a passionate, hands on, deep thinker who is focused on continuous improvement, cyber safety and all things hardware to ensure our team is enabled and able to thrive, always! The role is designed to offer you the chance to show your impact and flex your many IT related skills across multiple exciting projects and domains.
The IT Support Manager is responsible for day to day support of Pet Circle offices and fulfilment centre, provisioning new users, managing hardware and advising on new initiatives to mechanise parts of the logistics pipeline into the future. Working closely with the DevOps/Infrastructure team you will be tasked to modernise and automate various processes to take the grind out of the day. What you’ll be doing:
- Lead a team of two IT professionals, providing mentorship, support and guidance and fostering their professional growth and development
- Day-to-day IT support for the business. Networking, PC installation & maintenance, user accounts and more
- Plan, budget, purchase, install and support to ensure IT continues to meet the business needs
- Support our Warehouse (located in Eastern Creek) in using the right hardware and software to ensure efficient operations
- Manage third party local support services for Level 1 support in our four DC locations
- Monitor and support the visibility of the data for warehouse operationsSupport administration & security for company systems (JIRA, Confluence, GSuite, etc)
- Ensure the security of all relevant hardware and software
- Ensure 24x7 support for our warehouse who keeps feeding the nations pets
- Problem-solve in real time based on internal customer needs
- Work with stakeholders across the business, reporting to the CTO
- Work in both Windows and Mac environments
- 6+ years of experience in technical and IT operational support
- Technically relevant degree or related education
- Technical expertise across Linux systems
- Experience managing a team of at least 2 people
- Flexibility to travel interstate on an as needed or minimum quarterly basis
- Strong SQL skills for operational data investigation
- Strong communication and planning skills
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Experience supporting computer hardware and communications hardware
- Great team player – other team members enjoy working with you, you are happy to mentor others (and be mentored yourself), you communicate clearly and confidently with people inside and outside the technology team
- Familiarity with managing the use of office AV equipment
- Familiarity with Jump Cloud and Cloudstrike for security would be a plus
- Experience working with IT systems for Distribution of Fulfilment Centres would be a plus
