We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Group.
In Western Australia, our 90-year partnership with the water sector has cultivated strong client relationships and a deep understanding of their challenges, equipping us to assist them in preparing for what lies ahead. Our team is very well known for water infrastructure and water resources engineering and science consulting, collaborating with industry leaders like Water Authorities, major mining firms, and Defence, among others.

This diverse role will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the planning and execution of mechanical engineering projects for water utilities, local government, and resources industry clients. You will be technically skilled in water/wastewater treatment projects and will exercise sound judgement and initiative while undertaking your project responsibilities.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Leading the technical design development of mechanical aspects of systems and equipment for projects as a senior member of the water engineering team
- Development of detailed project plans outlining scope, timeline, budget, and resource requirements
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, address concerns, and provide technical expertise.
- Oversee the day-to-day execution of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Communicate project updates, technical milestones, and ensure client satisfaction.
What would you bring to the team?
- Experience as a Project Engineer with a focus on design and specification of mechanical equipment for water and wastewater treatment across municipal and industrial applications, experience in construction, commissioning or operation of treatment plants.
- The role will typically involve being responsible for several concurrent tasks, proposals or projects and therefore ability to manage competing priorities in a professional and proactive manner is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively both across our business and externally.
- Strong writing and communication skills to produce high quality reports, proposals and to liaise with clients.
- A strong focus on successful delivery and client service as well as a passion for knowledge sharing and development of junior team members.
