About the Opportunity
Are you ready to take the next step in your leisure services career and make a real impact in your local community? We’re looking for two enthusiastic and hands-on Operations Supervisors to join our team - one in the North and one in the South of the shire.
The Operations Supervisor (North) will be responsible for operations at Seymour Sports and Aquatic Centre (SSAC), Seymour War Memorial Outdoor Pool (SWMOP) and Tallarook Outdoor Pool (TOP) .
The Operations Supervisor (South) will be responsible for operations at Broadford Outdoor Pool (BOP), Kilmore Leisure Centre (KLC) and Wallan Splash Pad (WSP) . The outdoor pools operate seasonally between December and March each year , with increased activity and leadership support required during this period.
No two days are the same in this role. You might be out on pool deck supporting lifeguards, coordinating maintenance works, making sure our facilities are safe and welcoming, or jumping in to help solve day-to-day challenges. You’ll also play a key role in rostering, mentoring staff, and keeping things running smoothly across your sites.
This role includes the equivalent of three days per week of direct service Duty Managing, so you’ll be right in the action, supporting frontline staff and leading by example. Working hours offer flexibility, and are likely to include a mix of mornings, evenings and weekends, depending on operational needs.
You’ll be leading a dedicated team of lifeguards, duty managers and supported by other leisure staff to help deliver high-quality aquatic facilities and services to the community - especially during our busy summer season. This role is a permanent opportunity. Remuneration begins at $74.2K to $84.6K (Band 5) plus superannuation.
About You
You’re a confident and proactive leader who knows how to keep things running smoothly, even on a busy day. You’ve got experience working in aquatic or leisure facilities and understand the importance of safety, teamwork, maintenance, cleaning, and great customer service. You're comfortable taking the lead, supporting staff, and stepping in when needed.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need a current Pool Lifeguard and Level 2 First Aid qualification, as well as a Pool Operators Certificate (or be willing to get one). You’re organised, calm under pressure, and great at communicating with people at all levels - from lifeguards to senior leaders. Most importantly, you’re passionate about helping your team succeed and creating a safe, positive environment for the community.

- Level 2/Senior/Apply/Provide First Aid
- Current Provide/Perform CPR
- Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
- Minimum 2 years experience in Leisure services industry
