Location: Belgrave Area (3160)
Hours: Flexible scheduling, with core hours on Mondays and Thursdays, 11 AM - 3 PM. Occasional evening and shift work as required.
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Support Worker with experience in mental health, psychosocial disabilities, and neurodivergent-affirming practice. If you are passionate about helping others and have the skills to support individuals with diverse needs, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Functional Support: Assist with daily in-person tasks, including washing, cleaning, and other essential activities.
- Executive Function & Paperwork Support: Help the client with administrative tasks and implement tools and strategies from the therapeutic team.
- Flexibility: Be available for shifts during core hours (Monday and Thursday, 11 AM – 3 PM) and occasional evenings or other shifts as needed.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in Mental Health & Neurodivergent-Affirming Practice: Proven experience in supporting individuals with psychosocial disabilities and neurodivergent clients.
- Strong Admin & Organisational Skills: Ability to manage client records, appointments, and other paperwork efficiently.
- Fragrance-Free Protocols Adherence: Strict adherence to fragrance-free protocols, including avoiding perfumes, deodorants, and skincare products with fragrances, both in the workplace and in your car (100% adherence required).
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in documentation and support tasks.
- Reliability & Proactive Attitude: Dependable and self-motivated to take initiative in supporting the participant's needs.
- NDIS Worker Screening: Must have an active NDIS Worker Screening or be willing to complete the screening.
- First Aid & PCR Certification: Current First Aid certification and willingness to comply with Personal Care and PCR (Preventative Care Requirements).
- Own Vehicle: Reliable transportation to the client’s location in Belgrave.
